Ahead of its possible launch at the Auto Expo tomorrow, the brochure of the Maruti Celerio has leaked on the internet. The car will be launched in four trim levels - LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi Option.
The Maruti Celerio LXi and Celerio VXi variants will get the option of the 5-speed manual transmission, or the automated manual transmission (AMT). Surprisingly, the Celerio ZXi and ZXi Option will be available only with the manual gearbox.
Contrary to an earlier supposed brochure, Maruti will indeed offer airbags on the car. The Celerio ZXi will get a driver airbag, while the Celerio ZXi Option will get dual front airbags. ABS will be offered on the ZXi Option as well.
The Celerio will be offered in seven body colors. Features such as body colored door handles, wing mirrors with turn indicators and foglights will be seen only on the Celerio ZXi. The Celerio ZXi Option will also get alloy wheels.
The hatchback measures 3,600 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height and comes with a wheelbase measuring 2,425 mm. Power comes from a 998 cc three-cylinder engine (K10B) which outputs 68 PS at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The ARAI rates the car at 23.1 km/l.
