Mahindra has started accepting pre-orders for the XUV300 for an amount of INR 20,000, on mahindrasyouv.com and at dealerships.

The XUV300 is Mahindra’s only all-new model planned this year. Developed on the platform as the SsangYong Tivoli, it is pitted directly against the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. It isn’t a replacement for the TUV300 frame-based SUV.

Mahindra has started accepting pre-orders for the XUV300 for an amount of INR 20,000, on mahindrasyouv.com and at dealerships. The company will offer a choice of four equipment lines: W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) and six exterior colour options: Red Rage, Sun Burst Orange, Pearl White, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver and Aquamarine.

On the outside, the Mahindra XUV300 features projector headlamps, dual LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. Sunroof, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and cruise control are some of the interior highlights of the sub-compact SUV.

On the safety front, Mahindra equips the XUV300 with four-wheel disc brakes, ESP, seven airbags, reverse parking camera and more. Expect dual-front airbags, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system and front SBR as standard.

The engine options of the Mahindra XUV300 include a newly-developed 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol unit and the Mahindra Marazzo's 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel unit. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard. The engines produce class-leading torque but miss out on an AMT.
