Just last week, Mahindra TUV300's official website listed the Mahindra TUV300 Plus at INR 9,69,695 (ex-showroom Delhi). The sticker price on the website has now been updated to INR 9,59,001 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is a decrement of INR 10,694.
The company is yet to officially launch the product in the market. Further change(s) in the price of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus cannot be ruled out at this point. The price revision could be a response to unfavourable market reaction to the earlier figure.
The Mahindra TUV300 is a 7-seat (5+2) SUV measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and 1,826 mm in height. It is an elongated version of the Mahindra TUV300, equipped with bigger jump seats. It is 4,400 mm long, 1,835 mm wide and 1,812 mm high. It can accommodate up to 9 people. The wheelbase of both the versions is the same - 2,680 mm. The 9-seat version is 405 mm longer and 23 mm lower than the 7-seat version.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus does not qualify as a small car because it is longer than 4 metres. So, there is no point in restricting the engine capacity to 1.2L (petrol)/1.5L (diesel) for there's no tax benefit. With that in mind, Mahindra has employed a bigger and more powerful engine to carry the extra load. It’s the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 120 BHP at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,800 rpm. While the TUV300’s engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission, the TUV300 Plus’ engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is available in only one, very basic grade - P4. It features 16-inch steel wheels, internally adjustable ORVMs, power steering with tilt adjustment, power windows (front & rear), central locking, AC and two 12-volt charging points. Dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and BA, which are basic safety features at this price are unavailable in the Mahindra TUV300 Plus. Four exterior colour choices are available: Bold Black, Majestic Silver, Dynamic Red and Glacier White.
