The Duster is doing pretty well and the Mahindra Quanto is fully enjoying the first mover's advantage in the sub four metre SUV segment. Well, technically Premier Rio was the first sub four metre SUV in India but it's no way near Mahindra in terms of customer reach and brand value.
According to a press release from Mahindra, the Quanto has registered 5000 bookings in just two weeks. The launch of Quanto has stirred up the online community and the company says that Quanto was the No. 1 search object on Google for twenty four hours within two days of the launch!
The Twitteratti too went went bonkers about the Quanto and the terms 'Mahindra' and 'Quanto' were two of the top trending terms on the day of launch. And the official website has received more than 2 million hits so far.
The Quanto is all about value for money and has benefited strongly from the sub four metre exercise duty concessions. Though the compact SUV enjoys the whole pie of the market in its segment, it's main rival Ford EcoSport will be in the arena in few months of time to give a tough fight.
