The Compact SUV revolution has finally begun. The Renault Duster has mopped up 15,000 bookings from all across India. But on 20th September, this revolution will be turbocharged as Mahindra will bring the strongest contender in this segment – the Mahindra Quanto .
But just 5 days before its official debut, a TeamBHP member ‘Torque-ative’ has managed to fully expose the Mahindra Quanto in all its glory. Here we have a fully loaded model which is evident from alloys wheels; generally bestowed on the top variants.
The Mahindra Quanto has been caught countless number of time on the Indian streets before. In fact, the Mahindra Quanto has been under testing since more than 2 years now. Codenamed U203, the Quanto is a sub 4 meter SUV based on the Mahindra Xylo’s ‘Ingenio’ platform.
Speculations are rife that it will be powered by a 1.5L, 3 cylinder, mCR100 engine generating 100 bhp and 240 Nm torque @ 3750 RPM. The acclaimed mileage is a whopping 17.3 kmpl.
We managed to scoop up the interiors of the Quanto a long time back. Nothing interesting in the interiors as most of them are taken from the Xylo. It will borrow the DDAS system from the Xylo that displays Average FE, Distance to Empty, Temperature etc
We are expecting the Mahindra Quanto to be fully loaded with exciting features such as such as Airbags, ABS brakes, 6-spoke alloy wheels, steering-mounted controls for audio, Bluetooth compatibility, height-adjustable driver seat and reverse parking sensors.
Stay tuned as we get you more juicy details of the Mahindra Quanto from ground zero on 20th September.
