Market launch on January 15, 2016.
Mahindra revealed the front and side angles of its forthcoming offering, the Mahindra KUV100 last week. While the brand announced initial details of its all-new compact SUV which earlier went by the codename S101, images of the rear and interior were not shown to the media.
Based on official images of the KUV100, and dozens of spyshots, Indian Autos Blog's artist, Shoeb Kalania, has created a digital mockup of the rear-three-quarter view of the KUV100. As can be seen, the rendering incorporates the bold creases, the extending Evoque-inspired headlights and the Chevrolet Beat-like rear door handles which are also seen on the official images.
Mahindra confirmed that the KUV100 will debut the mFalcon engine family in the Indian market. The engines in question are three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol and diesel units dubbed G80 and D75 respectively. The petrol engine features dual VVT, an aluminium engine block and promises 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque.
The D75 diesel engine on the other hand develops 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. It promises friction reducing features, advanced engine management strategies, and an overall lightweight thanks to many plastic components.
The market launch of the Mahindra KUV100 will take place on January 15, 2016, however dealers have started accepting bookings for the compact SUV. Industry estimates expect prices to start at INR 4 lakhs, ex-Showroom.
