The Lexus RC Coupe has world premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show. The variant displayed at the show is the RC 300h hybrid that is powered by a 2.5-liter engine.
The vehicle is 4,693mm long, 1,838mm wide, 1,394mm tall, and sports a 2,730mm wheelbase.
The design of the RC Coupe is highlighted by deeply contoured lines that are seen for the first time on a production model. The spindle grille is wider and lower compared to current Lexus vehicles. The triangular headlights with a three-lamp LED design, thin rear combination lights that are L-Shaped, 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with platinum center caps are some of the visual treats of the RC Coupe.
The RC Coupe's interior uses contrasting colors, materials and lighting. The lighting package is purpose-built for Lexus, and the illumination reflects upwards rather than downwards. The two-tone 'clove' interior trim and 'shimamoku' wood highlights emphasize the premium-ness of the cabin.
The cockpit is split into three zones - the upper zone has the instrument panel and a seven-inch navigation screen, while the central console is touch sensitive. The seats are designed using a foaming construction method, similar to the moulding of a racing seat, for the best occupant comfort.
