The unnamed Adventure model could come via the CKD route.
Following the big ticket launch of the KTM RC twins, the Austrian motorcycle brand is putting its money on the Adventure and motocross segments in India.
Talking to ET Auto, Mr. Stefan Pierer, CEO, KTM, has revealed that the company is planning to launch a 250 cc motorcycle next year. Without divulging much about the quarter litre model, Mr. Pierer also said that the company has reached the level of considering an Adventure model for India, at least through CKD route.
He also added that KTM, being the world leader in offroad motorcycles, will introduce motocross models in India. Further, a two-cylinder engine is in the works to replace the 'mid-cast' single-cylinder units.
Coming back to Adventure, the firm currently has 1190 and 1190 R models and the flagship 1290 Super Adventure is on its way.
