KTM has launched the 790 Duke in India at an ex-showroom (India) price tag of INR 8,63,945. The motorcycle, however, will be available in limited cities in the first phase. In this post, we list the cities where you can buy the 790 Duke, the payment options available and the exclusive customer engagement programs that come along with the motorcycle.
Where can you buy the KTM 790 Duke?
The middleweight naked roadster will be limited to nine cities – Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai – in the first phase of launch. The second phase will bring the motorcycle to over 30 cities by April 2020. The current (BS-IV) compliant model, which is part of the Phase-1 launch, will be available in limited numbers, although an official figure is not available. The unofficial figure stands at 100 bikes throughout the nine cities listed above.
Interestingly, KTM officials denied a displacement bump (890) for the middleweight roadster in Euro-V/BS-VI compliant form. We will get a clear picture about the company’s strategy at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show scheduled to take place from 5 to 10 November.
What options do you have to buy the KTM 790 Duke?
Unless you have a huge stash of cash locked into a bank account, you can check out the Ownership Plan with Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd. Under the plan, buyers can pay a down-payment of INR 1.7 lakh and take the motorcycle home. The plan comes with an EMI of INR 19,000 for five years and an interest rate of 7.75%. The final amount includes registration and insurance.
Exclusive customer engagement programs to enhance your ownership experience
KTM India will host exclusive events for the 790 Duke owners. The company will host Super Rides and Super Track Days that will aim to interact with the customers more efficiently and enhance their ownership experience.
The motorcycle has already started to reach the dealerships in the nine cities and the deliveries are likely to commence as soon as the registration process is done. The KTM 790 Duke comes with a plethora of electronics, premium features and a power-packed engine.
The 799 cc LC8c (Liquid-Cooled, 8-valve compact) parallel-twin motor delivers 105 hp of peak power and 87 Nm of max torque. The comprehensive electronics safety net comprises Motorcycle Stability Control with Cornering ABS, Motorcycle Traction Control and Motorcycle Slip Regulation.
