Celebrates Jeep's platinum jubilee.
Jeep showcased the Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary edition at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show) last month. To celebrate its platinum jubilee this year, Jeep created special editions of its entire line-up. Announcing the special edition models in January, FCA North America stated that all 75th Anniversary editions will be available at dealerships from Q1 2016.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary is available in North America in Brilliant Black, Bright White, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal as well as the Jeep-exclusive Green 'Recon Green' exterior colors. On the outside, the special edition stands-out with an all-new, unique front fascia, grille and headlamps; and exclusive, Low Gloss Bronze-finished 18- and 20-inch wheels, tow hooks, grille rings, fog lamp bezels, lower fascia applique, roof rail and badges. Gloss black body accents give an extra edge to the exterior.
Inside, the Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary edition features new seat cloth insert or leather trimmed heated seats with embossed 75th Anniversary logo and Tangerine accent stitching, heated steering wheel, power sunroof and Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch display and navigation. Engine options include 3.6-liter V6 gasoline and 3.0-liter V6 diesel, both mated to an 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.
