Reported to launch in three grades: GL, GLX and GLX AT.
Initial stock of the India-made Suzuki Ignis has arrived in Indonesia, as seen in spyshots from Autonetmagz. The new Ignis is expected to launch in the archipelago later this month or in April, with it being the first Ignis export markets for Maruti Suzuki.
Earlier this month, local reports leaked the variants and prices of the Indonesia-spec Suzuki Ignis. It is said to launch in three grades: GL, GLX and GLX AT, and will be priced at Rp. 139.5 million, Rp. 159.5 million, and Rp. 169.5 million. In the local market, the Ignis will rival the Honda Brio, Toyota Etios, Nissan March, and the Mitsubishi Mirage.
The only engine option is the 1.2L 4-cyl K-Series petrol engine that produces 61 kW (83 PS) and 113 Nm of torque. The GL and GLX grades will feature a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the GLX AT comes with Suzuki's 5-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) AMT. In Indian road conditions, the Ignis can average a fuel efficiency of 20.89 km/L (ARAI-certified).
