The India-bound all-new Ertiga dominated Suzuki’s sales at GIIAS 2018 that was held from 2-12 August. The Ignis and Carry Pick Up were also among the company’s best-seller at the motor show where customers could book vehicles.
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) was launched in Indonesia in April. At GIIAS 2018, 28.98% of Suzuki’s sales were of this redesigned MPV. The Suzuki Ignis and the new Suzuki Carry Pick Up's share was 21.17% and 19.12% respectively. SIS has not yet revealed the number of vehicles sold.
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga’s prices start at IDR 193,000,000 (INR 9,24,984.63).
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,690 mm in height. Its wheelbase spans 2,740 mm. The low-cost people-mover offers a ground clearance of 180 mm and a luggage space of 803 litres.
Like other recent premium models from the Suzuki stable, the all-new Ertiga is underpinned by the Heartect platform. It employs a brand-new 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine codenamed ‘K15B’. This naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Suzuki's stated fuel economy is 18.09 km/l (MT)/16.73 km/l (MT).
Projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps, passive keyless entry, engine start/stop button, faux wood trim, beige upholstery and 6.8-inch touchscreen multimedia system are the equipment highlights of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga. In addition to dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child-seat anchorage points, main safety features of the three-row MPV covers ESP.

In India, the 2018 Maruti Ertiga could go on sale by November with prices starting at circa INR 7 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki will sell the second generation model through NEXA outlets.
