The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) has made its global debut at IIMS 2018. Here are live images of the second generation Ertiga from the show courtesy AutonetMagz. Leaked info that surfaced online yesterday shed light on the exterior, interior, and specifications of the next-gen Ertiga.

2018 Maruti Ertiga (Suzuki Ertiga) front angle
The second generation Ertiga has grown in length, width, and height. However, the wheelbase remains the same.

Compared to the first generation model, the new Ertiga is 99 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and 5 mm taller. However, at 2,740 mm, The wheelbase is unchanged. The front end of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga features a new hexagonal chrome grille flanked by sleek projector headlamps, bumper with black inserts, a revised lower grille and a resculpted hood with prominent crease lines.

The length increment is evident from the larger rear overhang. Suzuki has given the Ertiga a floating roof effect thanks to the blacked out D-pillar section. It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/65 R15 tyres. The L-shaped LED rear combination lamps with light guides are reminiscent of the Mitsubishi Xpander. A chrome stripe above the license plate recess connects the tail lamps. Needless to say, the tailgate and bumper also sport a new design.

Unlike a previous report, the Ertiga's cabin does not resemble that of the Maruti Dzire. Only the steering wheel and instrument console resemble the compact sedan's. It gets an all-new layout and is finished in light colour materials couple with generous black and wood finish inserts. The touchscreen housing is extruded, like it does in the Ignis.

Powering the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga is a new K15B 1.5L VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It replaces the K14B 1.4L VVT four-cylinder petrol engine developing 92 PS and 130 Nm. The new Ertiga offers the same transmission choices – 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
