No changes under the bonnet.
The 2017 Honda City is available for sale in Thailand starting today. It comes in five grades: S, V, V+, SV, and SV+, and prices stay unchanged - 550,000 baht to 751,000 baht.
The exterior of the 2017 Honda City receives new LED headlamps with bolder LED DRLs, redesigned chrome grille that runs into the lights, a new bumper design with 3-part intake and fog lamps, new 16-inch alloy rims and a reprofiled rear bumper. Added freshness to the exterior comes courtesy of the Cosmic Blue colour option, sourced from the new Civic.
The 2017 Honda City's interior is virtually indistinguishable from the outgoing car; the Thai model comes with an all-black layout with gun metal trim on the dashboard, gloss black garnish on the centre console and bright silver accents. Key features include speed-sensing auto door lock, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, cruise control, 60:40 split folding rear seats, LED cabin lights, a 6.8-inch touchscreen audio system and a new reverse parking camera.
Under the hood of the 2017 Honda City is the same 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine delivering 117 hp at 6,600 rpm and 146 Nm at 4,600 rpm. It retains its 5-speed manual gearbox for the base S grade, while rest of the variants sport an EarthDreams CVT.
The India-spec 2017 Honda City was spotted at its TVC shooting spot this week and could launch in the country by the month-end.
