To be unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

The 2016 Audi Q7 is a just a few weeks away and new renderings and spyshots have previewed the car countless times. Like IAB's render of the second generation Q7 that was published a few days ago, here's PS artist X-Tomi giving it a shot.

2016 Audi Q7 Rendering Front three quarters
The 2016 Audi Q7 will be based on VW's lighter MLB-Evo platform.

While the overall design has been kept similar to the current vehicle, the noticeable changes up front include a new set of headlamps (which use the Matrix LED technology), a six-point radiator grille which looks like the one on the upcoming Audi Q3, while the Allroad-like two-tone body treatment.

Volkswagen's MLB-Evo platfrom will underpin the Audi Q7 while it's expected to sit lower than the current version. An overall weight loss of more than 300 kg is expected, and that will translate into better dynamics, performance, and fuel economy.

Two plug-in hybrid versions aside, the engine options could include various six and eight cylinder petrol engines while a 3-litre V6 TDI Clean Diesel can be offered in three different states of tune, said a previous report.
