The Hyundai Venue is the brand's first sub-4 metre SUV, a direct rival to India's best-selling SUV - the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The Hyundai Venue is a global product that will cater to both developed and emerging markets, but it has been designed keeping India in mind. Essentially the production version of the Hyundai HND-14, ‘Carlino’ concept from Auto Expo 2016, it’s an SUV measuring no more than 4,000 mm length, which means that it will attract lower GST than the Hyundai Creta and be priced economically, likely from under INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Venue will come with features like Composite Light (two-tier headlamp setup), dual-tone alloy wheels, LED tail lights, electric sunroof, large touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and much more. It will be the most technologically advanced Hyundai model in India, with 33 different connectivity features.

Hyundai will offer the Venue with three engine options in India: 1.0L T-GDI turbocharged petrol, 1.4L MPI naturally aspirated petrol and 1.4L CRDi turbocharged diesel. The turbocharged petrol engine will deliver 100 PS and 172 Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated petrol engine will produce 100 PS and 26.5 kg.m (132.39 Nm) of torque. The diesel engine will come in the tuning of 90 PS and 22.4 kg.m (219.67 Nm). Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
