HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) today launched the Livo motorcycle in the country, in two variants and four body colors. The Livo drum brake variant is priced at INR 52,989 while the disc brake variant costs INR 55,489, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The Livo measures 2,020 mm in length, 746 mm in width, 1,099 mm in height and 1,285 mm in wheelbase with a ground clearance of 180 mm. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 111 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 8.5 liters.
Power comes from a 109.19 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which develops 8.25 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.63 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a 4-speed transmission. HMSI claims the Livo can hit a top-speed of 86 km/h, and achieve 74 km/l.
Based on a diamond frame, the Livo gets a telescopic fork up front and a spring loaded hydraulic rear suspension system. 130 mm drum brakes are installed at the front and rear, though the front can optionally be specced with a 240 mm disc as well. Since the Livo is positioned in the commuter segment, the only noteworthy feature on the motorcycle is the black alloy wheels.
HMSI has announced 15 new products for 2015, and the Livo is the ninth product launch this year. The Japanese manufacturer will also launch the CBR650F in the country in the coming weeks.
