Mystery model speculated to be a commuter motorcycle.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) had earlier this year, revealed its plan of launching 15 new models in the 2015 calendar year. Thus far, 11 new models have been launched, with the last being the long anticipated Honda CBR650F.
The Honda CBR650F was launched at the Honda Revfest event, which was synchronously organized in 8 cities in India.
At the Honda Revfest last month, HMSI also unveiled three new models: the Honda Hornet 160R, the Honda CBR150R facelift and the 2015 Honda CBR250R.
Apart from these three, HMSI teased a 'mystery model' with its silhouette, which will round up the company's launch plan for the year 2015. The mystery model appeared to be a commuter bike, possibly a long overdue replacement for the Honda Shine 125cc motorcycle.
Mr. Y. S. Guleria, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, told PTI that the company anticipates a more prosperous festive season this year compared to the last, and that motorcycle sales in rural areas is expected to see a significant growth in the upcoming festive span of the calendar.
Year-on-year, HMSI is hopeful of a 4-5 percent growth this festive season as production is already running at full capacity, as revealed by Mr. Guleria.
