Hybrid variant makes world premiere in China.
Honda is displaying the 2017 Honda CR-V at Auto Shanghai 2017. The new Honda CR-V for China will be a product of the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture.
The 2017 Honda CR-V measures 4,587 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,689 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,660 mm. Honda will offer the new generation model in two new models: Sport Turbo and Sport Hybrid. As suggested by the latter's name, the Chinese show has marked the world premiere of the fifth-gen Honda CR-V's hybrid variant. The current 2.4-litre model will continue, Chinese reports say.
The 2017 Honda CR-V Sport Turbo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 141 kW (192 PS) and 243 Nm of torque. CR-V Sport Turbo buyers will get a choice of a continuously variable transmission and a 9-speed automatic transmission, in front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.
