Sales of the Honda Cliq has crossed 10,000 unit mark in the country, reports CarandBike.com.
Tetsuya Komine, Deputy Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) told the media site that the company has achieved the 10,000+ unit sales figure in less than four months. Honda launched the Cliq in June. In July, the scooter was launched in Maharashtra, and in Tamil Nadu the following month. The Japanese company targeted the “up-country customers with a progressive mind-set” with the Cliq.

The Honda Cliq has an Activa sourced engine. The single cylinder 109.19cc fan-cooled mill is capable of producing 8 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm. A peak torque of 8.94 Nm comes in at 5,500 rpm, and the powerplant pairs with a CVT gearbox.

The scooter employs a link type front suspension, and a rear single shock absorber. To tackle the bad roads, Honda has equipped this scooter with 90-section Ceat block pattern tyres on the 10-inch steel wheels on both ends. For braking, the Cliq features 130 mm drum on both ends, with CBS.

The fuel tank can hold 3.5 litres, and the scooter tips the scales at 102 kg, kerb. Honda has priced the Cliq at INR INR 42,499 ex-showroom, Delhi. After the Cliq, Honda has recently launched a trendy 125cc scooter, the Honda Grazia.
