Although Honda Malaysia hasn't confirmed the launch of the Honda City Hybrid in the country, spyshots of a JDM-spec Honda Grace Hybrid (Honda City Hybrid) raises curiosity.
The model featured appears to be registered in the country, rather than carrying the usual test plates. It's unclear if the Grace Hybrid is registered by Honda Malaysia for a feasibility study or a grey market import of an enterprising dealer or a single owner.
Under the Malaysian government's Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) initiative, Honda Malaysia could consider introducing the Honda City Hybrid. Last year, sales of hybrid vehicles fell by 45 percent since the government removed additional tax incentives for CBU hybrid vehicles, which doused keenness of car companies to introduce more hybrid cars.
