The Honda CB Trigger, the latest 150cc offering from the Japanese auto giant has been launched in Chennai at a starting price of Rs. 71,046 (ex-showroom Chennai).
The CB Trigger which was showcased a few months ago is now being launched across the country in a phased manner. The motorcycle replaces the CB Unicorn Dazzler.
Sporting some minor styling differences, the CB Trigger comes with the same 150cc mill as the Dazzler that generates 14bhp and 12.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox that shifts in 1-down 4-up pattern. Honda claims that the bike delivers a best-in-class mileage of 60kmpl.
The styling elements include 3D Honda logo and side cowls. The bike offers usual features of the segment like black theme for its engine and alloy wheels and digital instrument panel. LED taillights are also offered.
The front suspension adopts telescopic forks and the rear setup is a mono shock unit. The high end variant comes with front and rear disc brakes complete with Honda's Combi Brake System (which engages both the brakes proportionately even if the rider applies only the rear brakes).
The CB Trigger is available in three variants - Standard (Front Disc and rear drum brakes), Deluxe (Front and rear disc brakes) and CBS (Front and rear disc brakes with CBS). Color options available are Meteor Green Metallic, Pearl Siena Red and Black.
The Trigger is the third 150cc contender from Honda. The CB Unicorn targets "mature" riders while the CBR 150R lures enthusiasts. The CB Trigger slots between them to offer a balance of both.
