Gets five colour options.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched the Honda CB Hornet 160R today at prices starting from INR 79,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The CB Hornet 160R is HMSI's 15th launch this calendar year.
Power for the CB Hornet 160R comes from the same 162.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that is used on the Honda Unicorn 160, but it gets a counter balancer for reduced vibration. The motor with HET is revised to comply with BS-IV norms, and it produces higher power and torque than the Unicorn 160. The maximum power is 15.88 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.76 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The gearbox is a five-speed unit.
The CB Hornet 160R competes with the likes of the Yamaha FZ-S FI and the Suzuki Gixxer. It gets a host of features such as a muscular fuel tank, a fully digital meter console, dual petal disc brakes, five-spoke split alloy wheels, a Combi-Braking System (CBS), a compact muffler, a mono suspension at the rear, an X-shaped LED taillamp, and a wide rear tyre.
