3,500 bookings received were received until early November.
As a part of Honda's roadshow in Indonesia, the Honda BR-V is being showcased in the islands of Sumatra and Bali. The venues are SKA Mall from 18-22 November and Mall Bali Galeria, respectively.
The Honda BR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine that is capable of 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque, and paired to a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT. A 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine will also be available for diesel-friendly markets such as India, where the BR-V will go on sale next financial year.
Honda Indonesia initially expected to garner around 1,000 bookings per month, and set the production target for 2,000 units at the HPM plant in Karawang, West Java. However, the present rate of 1,400 bookings per month has led the company to increase production to 3,000-4,000 units per month, for the first few months, as divulged by Jonfis Fandy, Director of Marketing and Sales Service at HPM.
In Indonesia, the BR-V will be priced between Rp. 230 million to Rp. 265 million (INR 10.83 lakhs and INR 12.48 lakhs), when launched early next year.
