Production to start in early-2016 in Indonesia.
According to a report on Paultan, the Honda BR-V has already received over 2,500 bookings in Indonesia ahead of start of production. HPM's (Honda Prospect Motor) Karawang facility in West Java, Indonesia, will begin manufacturing the BR-V in early-2016, the company said in a recent statement.
The BR-V measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height and 2,660 mm in wheelbase. Honda claims a ground clearance of more than 200 mm for the crossover.
The BR-V was announced for the Indonesian market with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine capable of 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. It will come paired to a new 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, and will be available in Indonesia in three variants - S, E and Prestige. According to reports, prices are expected to range from Rp. 230 million to Rp. 265 million (INR 10.83 lakhs and INR 12.48 lakhs).
Features on the BR-V will include projector headlights with LED positioning light, electrically retractable ORVMs, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 6-inch touchscreen entertainment system, ABS, EBD, VSA (Vehicle Stability Control) and HSA (Hill Start Assist).

According to reports, the BR-V will launch in India in mid-2016, where it is also expected with the 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine.
