Here are 5 things we know about the Honda Amaze facelift which launches next month:
1. Exterior styling:
The Honda Amaze facelift sports minor changes on the outside. The front fascia sees a new chrome grille and a new front bumper inspired from the Mobilio. Towards the rear, designers have given the compact sedan new taillight clusters with a clear lens treatment. Changes to the design of the alloy wheels and introduction of new body colors are also expected.
2. All-new dashboard:
Taking a page from the Honda BR-V and the 2016 Honda Mobilio, the Honda Amaze facelift gets an updated interior with an all-new dashboard, a new center console with rectangular AC vents, and a new instrument binnacle inspired from the Honda Jazz. Other parts and components continue unchanged however.
3. New features in store:
The Amaze facelift will finally get the option of automatic climate control, whereas the mid-level S variants will get a new 2-DIN Bluetooth-enabled music system. The top-end VX is expected with a touchscreen entertainment system with integrated navigation and reverse parking camera. The dashboard also gets a provision for an engine starter button.
4. Engine lineup to continue:
The Honda Amaze facelift will continue using the 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engines. The petrol engine is good for 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque and comes paired to 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions, whereas the diesel generates 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque and is matched to a 5-speed manual unit. These engines could be tweaked for increased fuel economy.
5. Launch on March 3, 2016:
Honda Cars India has scheduled a press conference on March 3, 2016. Though the car maker has not confirmed the product details, its no more a secret that the Amaze facelift will have its price announcement and official unveiling on that date.
