The Honda Activa 125 made its premiere at the Auto Expo in February. Indian Autos Blog is now informed that Honda Two-Wheeler's dealers have started accepting bookings for the Activa 125, ahead of a market launch which will take place by the end of this month.
The booking amount is INR 5,000. The dealers also inform us that there would be two variants of the Activa 125 - disc and drum. While the drum brake Activa 125 would be priced at about INR 56,000, the disc brake version can cost up to INR 63,000 we are informed. [Ex-Showroom prices mentioned.]
The Activa 125 would then be about INR 6,000 pricier than the standard Activa which comes with a 110cc engine.
The Activa 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, 124.9 cc engine which produces 8.6 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 10.12 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. A V-Matic transmission, similar to the regular Activa, is used on the 125.
The drum brake version comes with 130 mm drums for the front and rear and with Honda's CBS (Combi Braking System). The disc brake variant uses a 190 mm front disc, while the rear uses the same 130 mm drum.
