Hero MotoCorp has clocked a record 3 lakh plus unit sales on the day of Dhanteras in October 17, reports PTI.
Hero claims that it is the first company globally to achieve such numbers. Speaking about the achievement, a senior official told the news agency:
This festive season has been a blockbuster for Hero MotoCorp. The highest-ever single day retail sales of well over three lakh units on Dhanteras comes on the back of what has been a season of new global records for Hero.
This year, Hero MotoCorp also became the first company in the world to sell 2 million two-wheelers in a quarter. The brand sold a record 7.2 lakh two-wheelers in September. In the same month, Hero achieved 75 million unit sales milestone, and celebrated its achievement by offering festive discounts on its products.
Hero MotoCorp is currently developing 125cc scooter which will reportedly have Classic design lines to take on the likes of Vespa. As for motorcycles, the company will launch the Hero XTreme 200 S this financial year. In late 2018, Hero is planning to launch a 200cc off roader as well. By March 31 2018, the company plans to launch 6 new products.
