Hero MotoCorp has hiked the price of its 150cc commuter, the Hero Achiever 150 by INR 2,969 for the drum variant and INR 2,951 for the front disc version, compared to its launch prices.
The motorcycle launched in the country in September 2016. As per the data on Hero’s official site, the new price of the Hero Achiever 150 is INR 64,769 for the drum version and INR 65,751 for the front disc model, both ex-showroom, New Delhi. There is no official word explaining the price hike. There are no new updates to the bike either. However, as per the disclaimer, the company reserves the right to modify the prices at its discretion at any point of time.

The Hero Achiever 150 draws power from a single-cylinder BS4 compliant 149.1cc engine. It is capable of producing 13.4 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The mill mates with a 5-speed gearbox, and also features Hero’s i3S automatic start-stop system.
It gets 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear, though the disc brake variant is equipped with a 240 mm disc up-front. For suspension, the bike uses a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The alloy wheels are shod with 80/100-18 tubeless tyres on both ends.

The bike is available in three colours – Noble Black, Fiery Red and Valor Grey. In its segment, the motorcycle competes with Honda CB Unicorn, Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 Bajaj V15 and Bajaj Pulsar 150.
