Although the roofline does not slope downwards as aggressively as the concept's, much of the profile of the production version is identical to the Tata H5X that was unveiled at the Auto Expo back in February 2018. Design wise, 80-85% of the Tata H5X concept will be carried over to its production form, Pratap Bose has stated. The Tata H5X will arrive as the first model featuring the IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.
The test mule pictured here rides on black 5-spoke alloy wheels, which are similar in design to the ones the entry-level grade of the Land Rover Discovery Sport gets in certain markets. For the H5X, Tata Motors has adopted Jaguar Land Rover’s D8 platform that also underpins the Discovery Sport. According to a previous report, It will be slightly modified as the aluminium components will be replaced by relatively cheaper steel members.
