Expected to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
A rendering of the Fiat Tipo hatchback has emerged in a WorldScoop forum post, giving an idea as to what the new hatchback would look like from the rear. The Fiat Tipo hatchback is expected to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The rear end of Fiat Tipo hatchback in the render features a long pair of taillamps that extend to the side, a chrome strip connecting the taillamps, a subtle rear spoiler and concealed exhaust pipes. The front-end looks largely identical to the Fiat Tipo sedan, which is already available for sale in Italy at prices starting from EUR 12,500.
Although there are no interior images, spyshots have revealed that it will source the design and features from the Tipo sedan. It gets a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, 5-inch UConnect infotainment display, and minimal button count.
The Fiat Tipo hatchback will also borrow the engine lineup from the Tipo sedan, which includes a 90 PS 1.3-liter and 120 PS 1.6-liter Multijet diesel engines, along with a 1.6-liter E-Torq and a 1.4-liter ‘FIRE’ petrol engines. A 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic will serve as its gearbox options.
