Front fascia to be near-identical to the sedan version.
The front three quarter view of the Fiat Tipo hatchback has been rendered by Auto Pareri. It resembles the Fiat Tipo sedan entirely suggesting that only the rear end of the model will be any different from the saloon body type. The same was the connotation by the spyshots of the camouflaged test mules.
The Tipo hatchback is reported to be the successor of the Fiat Bravo and will be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Its sedan version was launched in Italy earlier this month in the price range of 12,500 EUR to 19,900 EUR (INR 8.89 lakhs to INR 14.15 lakhs). The Tipo sedan measures 4.5 meters in length, 1.78 meters in width, 1.48 meters in height, 2.64 meters in wheelbase and 510 litres in boot volume.
The hatchback is expected to inherit the styling (except for the rear end), the interior design, features and the powertrain lineup from the sedan version. The salient features include the new multifunction steering wheel, the 5-inch UConnect infotainment system, automatic climate control, rain and light sensors, reverse parking sensors, a rear view camera, electro-chromatic mirror and cruise control.

The Fiat Tipo sedan is offered with two petrol engines (a 1.4-litre and a 1.6-litre unit) and two diesel engines (a 1.3-litre and a 1.6-litre mill). The petrol version gets a choice of a 6-speed automatic transmission while the diesel variants can be had only with a stick shift.
