Priced between Php 398,000 and Php 438,000.
Suzuki has launched the made-in-India 2016 Suzuki Alto 800 in Philippines, which receives changes identical to the model currently sold in India. It is priced between Php 398,000 and Php 438,000.
The exterior changes are concentrated up front, where it features new headlight clusters with orange reflector elements, a slimmer grille, repositioning of the Suzuki logo and a new front bumper with a large hexagonal intake, and round foglights. The profile and rear end look identical to the outgoing model.
No changes have been made inside the new Alto 800, save for a new dark shade for the seat upholstery, additional storage space at the back, and a child-safety lock. A single DIN head unit with radio, CD and MP3 playback, manual air conditioning and power windows are standard in the Alto 800.

Under the hood is the same 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that makes 48 PS (47 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 69 Nm at 3,500 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Engineers have used specially coated piston rings which reduce frictional losses and increase engine life and fuel efficiency aside, the Alto 800 facelift also gets drive-by-wire technology.
The result is that fuel efficiency has risen by 9 percent to 24.7 km/l (ARAI test). A new brake booster with claimed improvements in braking performance concludes the list of changes.
