"Edition 1" special edition available for 12 months from market launch.
Mercedes has showcased the Edition 1 variants of the C-Class Coupe and C63 AMG models, which will be available in the market for 12 months from launch.
The Mercedes C-Class Coupe Edition 1 features several exterior and interior changes without any alterations under the hood. On the exterior the revisions are seen at the front on the diamond grille with chrome pins, five spoke 19-inch alloy wheels finished in Himalaya gray and the Edition 1 badge on the front fenders.
Inside, there is a three-spoke, multifunction, flat-bottomed AMG steering wheel, ARTICO leather upholstery with dinamica micro fiber for the center panel and contrasting turquoise top stitching. Several aluminium and black ash wood trims adorn the center console, instrument panel and door pads. The headliner has a shade of black, while the floor mats have hazel edging and decorative turquoise seams. The AMG sport pedals are made of brushed stainless steel.
Mercedes-AMG has also introduced the C63 AMG Coupe Edition 1 model for the C63 or the C63 S variant. It primarily includes changes to the exterior and addition of sporty accents to the interior.
The C63 S gets the colour scheme of Magno Selenite Gray with a contrasting yellow stripe that is lifted from the AMG race cars. The exterior has 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch at the rear with a yellow strip around them. There are new front and rear spoilers alongwith side skirts and a black diffuser at the back.
The interiors get sport seats covered in Nappa leather with yellow contrast stitching. The steering wheel is wrapped in dinamica microfiber trim while the dashboard is finished in matte carbon. Yellow contrast stitching can also be found on the arm rests, door center panels, and the steering wheel. Apart from the trim yellow accents are seen on the AMG analogue IWC-style clock, instrument cluster and floor mats.
The standard C63 features graphite grey stripes and styling accents. Sport tyres and ceramic compound brake system are available as an option. Both variants get the gloss black aero package that give a shiny finish to the front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler.
Under the hood lurks the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that produces 476 hp in the Standard and 510 hp in the ‘S’ model. Systems enhancing the driving experience are AMG Ride Control suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, rear-axle limited-slip differential and AMG Dynamic Select transmission modes.
