Second model for Datsun in India.
Nissan India will launch its second Datsun product, the Go+, on January 15. Based on the same platform as the Go hatchback which went on sale in India this year, the Go+ is a sub-4 meter compact 5+2 seater.
Power for the Go+ comes from the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine seen on the Go and Micra. This motor produces 68 PS (67 bhp) and 104 Nm of torque and is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI rated efficiency stands at 20.62 km/l. A diesel variant is not on offer.
The Go+ will be offered in a total of four variants, just like the Go. However, features such as power steering and AC will be offered only on the top-end 'T' model. Other features that will be seen on this variant include front power windows, a mobile dock with AUX-in and USB charger, speakers, central locking and follow-me home headlights.
The car measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,635 mm in width, 1,490 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. With the third row seat folded, the boot space is 347 liters, and with all seats in place, the Go+ has a 48 liter boot.
