A Datsun Go Limited Edition has been launched at the ongoing 2015 NADA, by the authorised distributor for Datsun - Pioneer MotoCorp. The Japanese brand made its foray into the Nepalese market at the 2015 Nepal Auto Show, by launching the Go hatchback. Early this year, the Datsun Go+ MPV was launched there.
There are no mechanical changes in the limited edition Go. It is powered by the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 67 bhp maximum power at 5,000 rpm and 98 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to 5-speed manual transmission. The A-segment car returns an ARAI certified mileage of 20.63 km/l.
The limited edition Datsun Go features alloy wheels, roof rails, side body moulding, bumper protectors, mud flaps, chrome trim on tailgate, reverse parking sensor, driver-side airbag, power windows on front and rear, CD player, remote door lock, custom seat covers & foot mats, parcel tray and rain visors.
According to Gaurav Sarda, the director of Pioneer MotoCorp, the special edition Go has already received 11 bookings. He added that the company has sold 400 units of the Go hatchback and Go Plus seven-seat MPV combined, in the first year of the launch.
