What did Bugatti show at the 2013 Auto Shanghai you ask? It is the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse WRC Limited Edition.
What this is, is a special edition version of the regular Bugatti Veyron Vitesse. It is made to celebrate a new world record the company has just bagged. The record happens to be a Veyron Vitesse driven by Chinese driver Anthony Liu who managed to hit a top speed of 252.04mph (408.84km/h). He drove the Veyron around VW's track at Ehra-Lessien.
Only 8 units of the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse WRC Limited Edition will be made, each at a price of 1.99 million Euro (INR 14 crores).
Exterior wise, the WRC edition sports a new orange and black dual paint scheme. It also has a specially developed roof spoiler to provide better stability at higher speeds.
On the inside, the orange black color combo continues to exist with added badges marking the epic record run and an autograph from the driver. There is also a special Vitesse World Record Car logo that is place inside.
Underneath the hood, nothing has changed. The Veyron continues to be powered by the awesome 8.0-liter W16 which produces 1200bhp of power and makes the Veyron go from 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds. The top speed is 254.04mph (408.84km/h).
