Packs 34 hp and 28 Nm.
The BMW G310R, formerly referred to as BMW-TVS K03 (codename), has been unveiled online by BMW Motorrad. The company has released detailed specifications and photos of the naked street fighter.
The company's first sub-500 cc motorcycle is powered by a 313 cc liquid-cooled backward-tilted single-cylinder engine with an 80 mm bore, a 62.1 mm stroke and DOHC. It produces 34 hp (25 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
The engine is fastened to a rigid tubular steel frame that is suspended by upside-down fork and a long, aluminium swing arm with monoshock. Stopping power comes from a 300 mm front disc brake with radially bolted 4-piston fixed caliper, and a 240 mm rear disc rotor with a 2-piston floating caliper, both governed by ABS as standard. The tyres are of sizes 110/70-R17 at the front and 150/60-R17 at the rear, which are sourced from Metzeler.
The design of the G310R takes inspiration from the BMW S1000R. It weighs 158.5 kg and has a saddle height of 785 mm. The motorcycle is developed by BMW Motorrad in Munich and will be manufactured in India by TVS Motor Company.
