New reports hint at a launch in September.
A Team-BHP member has snapped a pre-production Berry Red Tata Nexon at what appears to a parking bay of a Tata facility. New reports hint at a launch in September.
Other than the Berry Red exterior, the Nexon also has white ceramic finisher across the window line, and 16 inch 5-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. The Nexon was also spotted in the 'Striker Blue' and 'Pearlescent White' exterior colour.
The prototype also has fabric black seats and a black upper dashboard, while images from before revealed plenty of piano black, silver and chrome trim panels, and equipment like automatic climate control, start/stop button, steering-mounted audio controls, a rear parking camera and an Harman-based dashtop 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice commands and a rear-view camera.
According to latest reports, the Nexon will launch with a diesel engine first, which is confirmed to be a new 1.5L 4-cyl motor, that produces 110 PS & 260 Nm of torque. It can be had with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT and can average a fuel mileage of 22 km/L. A petrol variant packing a 1.2L turbocharged motor will arrive at a later time.
