Forms the entry-level engine option of the Flying Spur.
After launching the new Flying Spur in India in October last year, Bentley today launched the Flying Spur V8 model which is priced at INR 3.1 crores, ex-Showroom, New Delhi (prices are subject to change based on options and exchange rate fluctuations). The V8 model of the Flying Spur world premiered in March this year at the Geneva Motor Show.
Power for the luxury sedan comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine which makes 500 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 660 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The drive is sent to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Performance wise, the Flying Spur V8 does 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and on to a top-speed of 295 km/h. Aided by cylinder deactivation technology, the V8 has a range of 700 km on a full tank of fuel according to the company.
On the outside, the V8 can be told apart from the W12 by the figure-of-eight chrome exhaust pipes, a red center in the Bentley Wings badge and black color lower front bumper grilles.
The Flying Spur is now available in India with V8 and W12 engine options.
