Bajaj Auto retailed in Central America previously through the Masesa Group which now deals with TVS products.
Bajaj Auto has announced the appointment of the UMA Group as the new authorised dealer for central American countries Guatemala and Nicaragua. The UMA Group has been in business in the region for more than 5 decades now, and will handle sales and service support of Bajaj products.
While prices and dealership details will be announced at a later date, the two companies have the product portfolio ready. The partnership will begin with the Bajaj Pulsar 135, Pulsar 180, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Bajaj Discover 150S (now discontinued in India), Discover 125, Bajaj Platina 100ES and Bajaj Boxer 150. Bajaj Auto will also be introducing the Bajaj Dominar 400 and Bajaj V15 in the two countries.

Apart from motorcycles, the UMA Group will also be retailing the Bajaj RE 4S and Bajaj Qute, the latter as a quadricycle.
In a related development, Bajaj Auto entered the Malaysian market this month through a tie-up with local two-wheeler company Modenas, with three products - the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Pulsar 200NS and Bajaj V15.
