As the enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the new Bajaj and KTM sportsbikes, the brands continue to test their products.
Indian Cars Bikes have snapped a test mule of what appears to be the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS, or it could be the Bajaj Pulsar SS 400 which was showcased at the Auto Expo. Both bikes adopt similar styling and it is pretty difficult to differentiate one from the other when camouflaged.
Both upcoming faired Pulsars feature projector headlamps, eyebrow-like LED daytime running lights, a stubby silencer end can, mono suspension and a futuristic two piece LED taillight. Certain elements like the instrument console are borrowed from the Pulsar 200 NS.
The 200 SS would derive its 200 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder triple spark engine from its naked sibling. The motor dishes out 23.52 PS (23.18 bhp) and 18.3 Nm of torque, and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The SS 400 which would borrow the KTM 390's 373 cc single-cylinder unit is expected to produce power in the vicinity of 40 PS (39.4 bhp).
The new Pulsar duo and the KTM RC duo, which are also out testing, are expected to launch in quick succession spanning the festive season.
