The new Bajaj Discover 150 F (faired) and Discover 150 S motorcycles are scheduled to be launched on August 11, reports Overdrive.in. The duo have already started reaching dealerships across the country.
The Discover 150 S looks exactly like the Discover 125 ST with subtle changes like a bigger rear tyre and a black theme for the grab rail, rear foot peg mounts and centre panel. The Discover 150 F too derives majority of its styling cues from its smaller sibling but has an entirely new identity, thanks to the newly designed semi-fairing.
The new additions to the Discover family would be positioned right on top of the vast commuter bike segment. While the 100 - 110 cc sub-segment is where core volumes lie, Bajaj is looking to cater to customers who look for more performance from their commuter motorcycle.
The new 150 cc air-cooled single-cylinder DTS-i engine employs 4-valves. Bajaj hasn't revealed the specifications of the soon-to-be-launched motorcycles yet but expect the power output to be in the vicinity of 15 PS (14.78 bhp). A 5-speed gearbox with heel-and-toe shifter transmits the power.
