The Bajaj Boxer, Bajaj Pulsar and the Bajaj CT range took the first, second and third place respectively in the export business of the first half of this financial year, reports ET Auto.
With 6,83,876 units, the total exports of Bajaj Auto went up 6.6% year-on-year, in the first half of this fiscal. The company sold 2,76,918 units of the Boxer model range; 1,51,073 units of the Bajaj Pulsar range, and 1,03,300 units of the CT in the H1 of FY 2017-2018. While Bajaj has clinched the top three two-wheeler exports, the Honda Dio is the only scooter in the list, taking the fifth position. The Japanese brand sold 79,328 units of the Dio in the export market. TVS Star City took the fourth place, selling 1,03,026 units internationally.

According to SIAM data, the total two-wheeler exports from the country witnessed a double-digit growth at 15.22% from April to September 2017. In that period, India exported 13,64,313 units of two-wheelers; against 11,84,055 units in the first half of the previous financial year. Motorcycle export sales grew by 16.6%, with 12,00,522 units. The scooter export market witnessed a growth of 8.76%, with 1,57,551 units dispatched.

To increase the sales in the second half, Bajaj is planning to launch new variants in the Avenger and the V family.
