BS Motoring is reporting that the production model of the A3 sedan concept will be brought to India in 2013-14 and priced to take on the Maruti Kizashi, Honda Civic, VW Jetta and the likes.
The concept model exhibited at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show has a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine from the RS3 Sportback under the hood that produces 408 PS with the help of a seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive.
The production model will be built on the modified VW Golf platform. As we stated before, there should be four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines working up around 150bhp married to simple manual and automatic transmissions.
The A3 sedan like its brothers and cousins will follow the CKD route.
