The A3 petrol becomes more affordable.
Audi India has launched the Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium with a price tag of 25.5 lakh (ex-showroom. Mumbai/Delhi). This is the new base trim for the A3 and the Premium Plus variant has been discontinued.
Noteworthy exterior features of the car are the 5-spoke 16-inch Y-Design alloys, halogen headlights, and only rear parking sensors with audio warnings and no rearview camera.
On the inside, there is a four-spoke leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel, front and rear floor mats, Regatta Leatherette fabric seat upholstery and electronically adjustable- driver seat as well as exterior rear view mirrors.
The infotainment system in the A3 gets Audi music interface, Bluetooth interface, passive speakers and MMI Radio. The Audi music interface allows users to plug in their portable media players or USB storage devices and then play the files by using the Audi Multimedia Interface (MMI).
Two-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents and sun sensor, Rough Ride Suspension, cruise control are some of the features that enhance comfort and convenience. Safety has been addressed by the seven airbags, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC) and anti-theft wheel bolts.
The Audi A3 40 TFSI sedan is powered by a 1.8-liter TFSI unit generating 177 bhp and is mated to 7-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission. This enables the sedan to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and achieve a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.6 km/l.
