To give you a recap, Classic Legends announced the launch of the Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition in October this year. Introduced to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Jawa brand, the motorcycle was limited to just 90 units. The vehicle draws styling inspiration from the first Jawa, the 500 OHV.

Styling cues on the limited edition model include the 500 OHV inspired colour on the fuel tank that features dual-tone paint of red and ivory. The theme further enhances the retro styling of the motorcycle. The production number (XX/90) and the 90th Anniversary commemorative emblem are visible on the fuel tank.

The anniversary edition is based on the rear-disc/dual-tone ABS variant of the Jawa Classic, and it retails at the same price tag – INR 1,72,942 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The differences between the Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition and the standard motorcycle are limited to the styling cues. Thus, it's powered by the 293 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor that pumps out 28 Nm of peak torque and 27.37 PS of peak power. The ARAI-certified fuel economy on the motorcycle stands at 37.5 km/l.

Braking department, similar to the standard dual-channel ABS variant of the Jawa Classic, includes disc brakes on both wheels. The suspension department comprises telescopic front and twin gas-charged rear springs.

The waiting period for the Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition will not be as long as the standard Jawa Classic and Forty-Two as Classic Legends promises “immediate delivery”. Regular readers would know that the waiting period for Jawa motorcycles is as long as 11 months in several cities.
