Mercedes-Benz has launched the G 350 d in India at INR 1.50 crore (ex-showroom). With the G 350 d variant, the Mercedes G-Class will now be slightly more accessible to the buyers in India. In comparison to the Mercedes-AMG G 63, which is priced at INR 2.19 crore (ex-showroom), it costs INR 69 lakh lower.
The latest Mercedes G 350 d was introduced in December last year. It is powered by the new OM 656 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that generates 210 kW (286 PS) of maximum power at 3,400-4,600 rpm and 600 Nm of peak torque at 1,200-3,200 rpm. The engine comes paired to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission which sends 40% of the drive torque to the front axle while the remaining is sent to the rear axle. This engine variant gets a new transfer case which is flange-mounted directly onto the transmission.
The Mercedes G 350 d is claimed to be the "most efficient G so far" thanks to its OM 656 diesel unit. Apart from this, its engine emission levels undercuts even the Euro 6d regulation standards. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 7.4 seconds, while the top speed is 199 km/h.
As standard, the Mercedes G-Class diesel features LED headlamps, radiator grille with chrome-finish louvres and silver chrome inserts, rear door-mounted spare wheel, LED tail lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels on the outside. 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, sat-nav and Mercedes me connected vehicle solutions (enabled via LTE sim)ambient lighting with a choice of 8 colours, 3-zone automatic climate control system and steering wheel with Touch-Control buttons are some of the main interior features that are standard.
Polar White, Brilliant Blue metallic, Cavansite Blue metallic, Emerald Green metallic, Magnetite Black metallic, Mojave Silver metallic, Obsidian Black metallic and Rubellite Red metallic are the standard exterior paint choices. Black/black, nut brown/black and macchiato beige/black are the standard upholstery options, and the standard interior trim selections include Metal-weave, open-pore natural walnut wood and high-gloss brown ash wood.
Mercedes-Benz is offering numerous customisation possibilities with a plethora of optional features, such as Multibeam LED headlamps, 360-degree camera, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, massage seats for the driver and front passenger, ambient lighting with 64 colours and much more.
