Bajaj Auto recently revised the prices of its Pulsar range along with the Avenger series of motorcycles and its flagship product, the Dominar 400.

Within the Pulsar range, the Pulsar 150 Neon is the most affected by the price increase, as the new ex-showroom tag is INR 4,000 higher. Motoring website BikeDekho reports that Bajaj Auto raised the prices of the Pulsar 150 Neon to increase the gap between the 150 cc motorcycle and the recently launched Pulsar 125.
The price hike also aims to pitch the Pulsar 150 Neon as a premium alternative. The Pulsar 150 Neon, which was previously sold for INR 71,200*, now retails at INR 75,200*. In comparison, the Pulsar 125 is available at INR 64,000* (drum brake) and INR 66,618* (disc brake). The Pulsar 125 (split-seat version), which is available in select states in the country, for now, is sold for INR 70,618**, which is very close to the previous price tag of the Pulsar 150 Neon.
The Pulsar 125 is aggressively priced as compared to the highest-selling 125 cc motorcycle in the Indian market, the CB Shine. The base variant of the Pulsar 125 is INR 1,020 cheaper than the entry-level CB Shine. The price difference between the disc brake variants stands at INR 2,320, with the Pulsar being more affordable.
The entry-level Pulsar motorcycle also benefits from 150 Neon derived muscular styling, which makes it one of the most visually appealing products in its segment. The 150 Neon inspired design is complemented by best in class (not including the much premium 125 Duke) power-output numbers. The 124.4 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve engine makes 12 PS of max power at 8,500 rpm and 11 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. The highest price increase was faced by the Dominar 400 - INR 10,001. The flagship Bajaj product now retails at INR 1,90,002*.
