The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is set to be introduced in a more premium avatar with new graphics and split seats. Units of the motorcycle have started reaching dealerships and YouTube vlogger Dino’s Vault has shared his first-hand account of the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
Bajaj launched the Pulsar 125 in August to beat the rising cost due to compulsory ABS in the 150 cc + range. With a 125 cc engine, it can now tap into the smaller capacity segment where their Discover brand has been shedding volumes faster than India’s GDP!
Splitting the Bajaj Pulsar 125 into two different variants goes with the product strategy the Pune-based manufacturer has used successfully with the classic Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 150 Neon. Sales volumes of the two combined make the Bajaj Pulsar 150 the largest selling motorcycle in its segment, averaging more than 60,000 units a month.
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 125 is a 124.4 cc twin-spark, air-cooled DTS-i mill. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine produces 12 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque. Besides that, the bike utilises 31 mm conventional telescopic forks up front and twin gas-charged springs at the rear. Anchoring the Bajaj Pulsar 125 are 170 mm (front) and 130 mm (rear) drum brakes. A 240 mm front disc brake is optionally available.

Other features include digital-analogue instrumentation (same as the Pulsar 150), clip-on handlebars, engine under-cowl and classic split LED taillamps. New split seats will add an element of premiumness to the Bajaj Pulsar 125. The bike will also gain tank extensions as seen on the classic Pulsar 150.
At present, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is priced at INR 64,000 for the drum brake variant and INR 66,618 for the front disc brake variant (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect the new Pulsar 125 with split seats to be priced slightly higher.
